Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for targeting two major Israeli Air Force bases, Tel Nof and Nevatim Airbases. According to Iranian media reports, the operation was carried out in response to alleged Israeli strikes on Iranian military and radar installations.
In a statement, the IRGC said that responding swiftly to Israeli actions and expanding the scope of its operations are part of its strategic approach. Iranian officials also warned that any further military action by Israel would be met with a stronger response.
Meanwhile, Arab media outlets reported hearing explosions in various areas of Tel Aviv following the reported Iranian strikes. There were also reports suggesting that some missiles or missile fragments landed in central Israel.
Following the attacks, a state of emergency was reportedly declared at Ben Gurion Airport, Israel’s largest international airport. Security agencies have been placed on high alert, and additional precautionary measures are being implemented to address potential threats.
The latest escalation between Iran and Israel has raised concerns across the region. The international community is closely monitoring developments, with several countries urging both sides to exercise restraint and work toward de-escalation.
