A tragic accident occurred on the M-Expressway involving a tourist passenger van, which suddenly caught fire. According to initial reports, the vehicle went out of control due to speeding and crashed into a roadside wall, after which its engine caught fire.
During the incident, the van’s sliding door became jammed, preventing passengers from escaping in time. As a result, four people lost their lives while twelve others were injured, some of them reported to be in critical condition.
Rescue teams and motorway police immediately reached the scene and began relief operations. The injured and deceased were shifted to nearby hospitals, where medical treatment is being provided.
Authorities stated that speeding is believed to be the primary cause of the accident; however, a full investigation committee has been formed to determine the exact cause of the incident.
