Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on the successful and peaceful conduct of elections, stating that peaceful, transparent elections and active political participation are the true essence of democracy.
In his statement, the Prime Minister noted that the Pakistan Peoples Party emerged as a major political force in the elections and deserved congratulations for its performance. He also extended his congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on their party’s electoral success.
Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the candidates of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), saying they had put up a strong contest and delivered a commendable performance. He praised the efforts of the party’s election team and appreciated their hard work throughout the campaign.
The Prime Minister commended the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for their enthusiastic participation in the electoral process, stating that the public played a key role in strengthening democracy through their involvement.
He further appreciated the efforts of the Election Commission of Pakistan for ensuring transparent and impartial elections. According to him, the commission’s role in conducting a fair electoral process was highly commendable.
Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the contributions of the police and other law enforcement agencies, saying they played a vital role in maintaining peace and security during the elections and deserved recognition for their services.
