Polling will be held tomorrow in 24 constituencies of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, with all election arrangements entering their final stages. The distribution of election materials and deployment of polling staff are being completed ahead of voting day.

According to the District Returning Officer of Diamer, all preparations for the elections in the district have been finalized. A total of 173 polling stations have been established across the district’s four constituencies, including 68 for male voters, 67 for female voters, and 38 combined polling stations.

Election officials stated that more than 158,000 voters in Diamer district are expected to exercise their right to vote. Strict security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful polling process, with law enforcement personnel being deployed across the district.

Authorities said the transportation of election staff and polling materials will be completed within the next few hours. Polling will continue uninterrupted from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A valid National Identity Card (CNIC) will be mandatory for casting a vote. Officials also emphasized that any attempt to prevent women from exercising their right to vote will not be tolerated, and legal action will be taken against violators.

According to the administration, polling stations throughout the district have been categorized based on their security sensitivity to ensure transparent, fair, and peaceful elections.
