At least 39 people were killed in Israeli strikes across Lebanon, according to the Lebanese health ministry, as violence escalates along the border with Hezbollah.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest wave of attacks comes amid ongoing exchanges of fire between Israel and Hezbollah, despite a ceasefire deal announced earlier between Israel and Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lebanon\u2019s health ministry said one of the deadliest strikes hit the southern town of Saksakiyeh, killing at least seven people, including a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry also reported multiple injuries in the attack, including women and children, as airstrikes continued across southern regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A separate strike in Nabatieh targeted a motorbike, killing a Syrian national and his 12-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to officials, the incident escalated further when a second strike hit the father after he moved away from the first impact site. A third drone strike reportedly killed the girl while she was receiving medical attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the strikes, stating it was targeting Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military said it was aware of reports of civilian casualties and added that it used \u201cprecise munitions\u201d and surveillance measures to reduce harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also stated that the incident is under review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lebanon\u2019s health ministry reported that more than 120 people have been killed across the country in the past week alone, including women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry does not differentiate between civilians and combatants in its casualty figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continued cross-border attacks

Despite ceasefire arrangements announced in April, both sides have continued military activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hezbollah has carried out drone and rocket attacks targeting northern Israel, while Israel continues airstrikes in southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, Hezbollah reportedly launched a drone that injured Israeli soldiers, according to Israeli military statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Israeli military has maintained a presence in parts of southern Lebanon, stating its objective is to establish a security zone to prevent attacks on northern Israeli communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports indicate that several villages in these areas have been heavily damaged or destroyed amid ongoing operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rights groups have raised concerns, warning that some of the destruction may amount to violations of international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tensions intensified following renewed hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah after earlier regional escalations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
