{"id":804,"date":"2026-05-10T07:40:04","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T07:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluntline.pk\/en\/?p=804"},"modified":"2026-05-10T07:40:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T07:40:04","slug":"dar-seeks-singapores-help-for-return-of-pakistani-iranian-sailors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluntline.pk\/en\/?p=804","title":{"rendered":"Dar seeks Singapore\u2019s help for return of Pakistani, Iranian sailors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has contacted Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan to seek cooperation in efforts to ensure the welfare and repatriation of Pakistani and Iranian seafarers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dar said 11 Pakistani and 20 Iranian crew members are aboard vessels seized by US authorities and currently located near Singaporean waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his communication with Vivian Balakrishnan, Dar requested Singapore\u2019s support in facilitating the safe return of the crew members.&nbsp;He appreciated Singapore\u2019s cooperation and support in the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact with Iranian foreign minister<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ishaq Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi regarding the situation.&nbsp;Both leaders agreed to remain in close coordination on the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dar said Pakistan stands ready to provide all possible facilities for the safe repatriation of Iranian citizens to Iran through Pakistan.
