{"id":794,"date":"2026-05-10T07:34:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T07:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluntline.pk\/en\/?p=794"},"modified":"2026-05-10T07:34:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T07:34:07","slug":"severe-weather-alert-punjab-to-get-thunder-rainstorms-from-may-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bluntline.pk\/en\/?p=794","title":{"rendered":"Severe weather alert: Punjab to get thunder, rainstorms from May 11"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Citizens in Punjab have been advised to remain alert as the Meteorological Department has issued a severe weather warning for north-east Punjab.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strong winds and rain are likely in several cities from today until May 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Meteorological Department, a \u201csuper cell\u201d is expected to form in different areas of Punjab between May 11 and May 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said the weather may turn extremely severe during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thunderstorms are likely in Lahore, Kasur, Pattoki, Sheikhupura, Okara, Narowal, Sialkot and Gujranwala.&nbsp;Heavy rain is also possible in some areas, the Meteorological Department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Risk of hail, lightning and strong winds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meteorological experts have warned that hail and lightning may occur in some areas during the spell.
