The Punjab government has issued new operating hours for businesses across the province as part of an energy conservation plan. An official notification has been implemented, introducing changes to the closing times of various commercial activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the notification, grocery and general stores will now remain open until 10 PM<\/strong>. Similarly, marriage halls have also been directed to close operations by 10 PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under the new orders, shopping malls, markets, and other commercial areas will close at 9 PM<\/strong>. Meanwhile, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, and food outlets will be allowed to operate until 11 PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fruit and vegetable shops can also remain open until 11 PM<\/strong>. However, takeaway and home delivery services have been exempted<\/strong> from these new timing restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keeping public convenience in mind, the government has exempted hospitals, clinics, medical stores, and laboratories<\/strong> from these restrictions. Similarly, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and electric vehicle charging stations<\/strong> will continue normal operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The notification also states that bakeries, tandoors, milk shops, and dairy stores<\/strong> will not be affected by the new timings.
