The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh has issued a heatwave alert for Karachi and other parts of the province, warning of extremely hot weather conditions in the coming days. According to officials, temperatures across various regions of Sindh are expected to remain significantly above normal until June 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The advisory states that temperatures could rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several districts in Sindh are expected to experience dangerously high temperatures. In Sukkur, Shikarpur, Larkana, and Jacobabad, temperatures may soar between 48\u00b0C and 51\u00b0C. Meanwhile, Hyderabad, Badin, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, and Jamshoro are likely to record temperatures ranging from 42\u00b0C to 45\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Karachi Division, temperatures are forecast to remain between 39\u00b0C and 42\u00b0C from June 9 to June 12. Authorities have also warned of dusty winds and possible dust storms during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PDMA Sindh has urged residents to take precautionary measures, particularly children, women, and the elderly, who are considered most vulnerable to extreme heat. Citizens have been advised to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak hours, and drink plenty of water to prevent heat-related health complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
